The President and CEO is accountable for carrying out the mission of Visiting Nurse | Hospice Atlanta and reports to the Board of Directors. Responsibilities include establishing strategic plans and budgets, monitoring financial performance, operations, growth, and mission effectiveness as well as representing Visiting Nurse | Hospice Atlanta to government, healthcare organizations, and the public. Mark was formerly the Managing Partner of Arthur Andersen's United States Healthcare Consulting business, building and managing a national strategy, technology and management consulting unit of 350 professionals. From 2005 to 2007, he served on the executive committee of the board of the Georgia Department of Community Health, which oversees the State’s $10 billion Medicaid, State Health Benefit and Certificate of Need programs and on the Mayor’s Health Services CEO Forum, which developed an action plan to drive healthcare job growth in the city. Mark is a CPA with a degree in Finance and Accounting from Michigan State University.
